Thornless cactus of the Lophophora Williamsii family, or Hikuri, comes from Northern Mexico. Its use among the Mara'kames of the Wixarica (Huichol) people dates back to millenary times, governing through ceremonies all aspects of daily and religious life, the agricultural calendar, as well as festivals and customs.
